Validate & Iterate

Personas should be living artifacts. Validate them by recruiting the right users and measuring the outcomes of changes designed for a persona.

Validation methods

• Usability testing with participants matching persona criteria
• Behavioral segmentation in analytics to confirm changes in metrics
• Post-release surveys and feature usage monitoring

Practical exercise

Plan a validation test for one of the scenarios from Lesson 7: draft test goals, participant criteria (matching the persona), and 3 success metrics to measure.

Tip: Keep a change log

Note updates to persona profiles when you gain contradictory evidence or new research that expands scope.
